Dr. Rob McKenna is co-founder of
Real Time Development Strategies, a leadership development consulting firm
focused on developing leaders where we know they are learning, right on the job.
Dr. McKenna wears many hats as a consultant, a leader, a professor, an author, and
as a self proclaimed enthusiast for online gaming and social networking technologies.
He has spent the last 15 years as a consultant to a broad range of fortune 100 companies,
not-for-profits, and churches, and has authored multiple articles and books. His
most recent publications is
Dying to Lead: Sacrificial Leadership in a Self-Centered World, a book highlighting
the realities of leading well in the most difficult of times. He earned a Ph.D.
in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Claremont Graduate University and an
MBA from Seattle Pacific University.
Dr. Paul Yost is also a co-founder of Real Time Development Strategies and
a long time colleague of Dr. McKenna’s. Dr. Yost’s new book,
Real Time Leadership Development, is a practice guide for leaders and HR
professionals who want to develop the next generation of leaders in their organizations
Before teaching, Dr. Yost served as Senior Research Specialist at Microsoft with
responsibilities in talent management, leadership development, and executive assessment
and was manager of leadership research with the Boeing Company where his work focused
on leadership development, how leaders can capture the lessons of experience , and
employee surveys. Prior positions include GEICO insurance and Battelle Research
with experience in managerial training, assessment and selection, and team development.
Currently, Dr Yost continues to explore how leaders develop and grow over the life
of their careers with special focus looking at how clergy and pastors navigate through
trial-by-fire experiences in their lives and careers. Dr. Yost received his Ph.D
in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Maryland.
